Promoting the Victim Survey 2026

Claire Waxman, Victims' Commissioner for England and Wales, is launching the Annual Victims' Survey 2026 and we need your help to make it a success.

This survey is the only one of its kind in England and Wales. It gives victims a direct voice on their experience of the criminal justice system and the Commissioner uses it to drive real change.

The survey is open 8 April to 6 May 2026

It is anonymous, takes around 15 minutes, and is open to anyone aged 16+ who has experienced crime since January 2021 - whether or not they reported it to police.

We're asking you to help us reach as many victims as possible, especially those from underrepresented groups.

Here's how you can help:

1.  Share the survey link

Email it through your mailing lists and newsletters.

2.  Post on social media

Ready-made posts & graphics for you to use are on this page.

3.  Share directly with your service users

Encourage staff to discuss it with the people they support. Some people may need support to complete the survey

I hope you'll be able to lend your support.
